Where my dreams come true

After decades of dreaming... Willow Wind Farm became a reality in 2012.
With a focus on a sustainable lifestyle, I set out to grow my own food, grow herbs, learn about and create personal care products (soap, lotion and hair care), support a tiny goat herd to produce milk for cheese and personal care products, and have a source of fiber for the creation of home products.
Fiber and fiber related endeavors quickly became the central focus.
I was introduced to alpacas shortly after I arrived on the farm and FELL IN LOVE.
After three years of study and supported (what a great industry!) practice, I am a proud and committed guardian to these stunning creatures.
I love to share my lifestyle and my beautiful herd.
Now almost 8 years into the farm adventure Alpacas and Fine wool Sheep have taken center stge and I MOVED!!!
Now located on 85 acres in Westcliffe CO.
The paint is barely dry on the barn and all the four leggeds have arrived.
So blessed to be in this gorgeous place... the dream continues.
Drop a line - we are open for business and welcome visitors by appointment.

Welcome to Willow Wind Farm

Willow Wind Farm has MOVED! We just settled on 85 acres in the Westcliffe Colorado valley right next to the Sangre De Cristo mountain range. We are fortunate to have gorgeous views of the mountains and surrounding lands dedicated to agriculture and livestock.
We are a working farm.
Alpacas are gentle, curious, sometimes mischievous but always magical creatures.
They produce some of the finest, most luxurious fiber in the world.

My focus became clear with the help and ongoing support of a number of experienced local breeders (you know who you are!!!); what an inspiring friendly industry!

With an interest in the improvement of the grey herd and a selective breeding practice, my goal is to produce the finest grey alpacas and to contribute to the overall improvement in superior fleece production and conformation. On the path of exploring grey, Willow Wind has developed a small and mighty portion of our herd dedicated to harlequins and their grey expression. After even further dedication the "modern grey" has become central to our focus.

With access to some of the best "grey producing" herdsires and a down right gorgeous foundation of females, Willow Wind is well on its way.

This year we are adding fine wool sheep and becoming quite serious about expanding our "Grey"tness in fine wool as well. We have an award winning Silver Grey Ram who will be joining our emerging flock late this summer. Look for gorgeous lambs come May 2021.

If you are new to the industry and interested in learning more, I would be excited and committed to share what I have learned and be supportive to you, as I have been supported, on your journey.

If you are an experienced breeder looking for superior grey genetics, I may be able to help.

Willow Wind is dedicated to fiber use and production, product production, shows and showing, testing, and strong husbandry practices and care; as well as continual involvement in the industry to stay abreast of developments, improvements and issues.

Thank you for visiting Willow Wind Farm - We look forward to meeting you.
