I love this girl.
Her fiber is plentiful, fine and well organized.
She is a non fading black. No brown tips in summer or ever.
In her first year her neck was grey and as she has matured the grey has spread minimally to the edges of her blanket.
Bomber has passed the Roan gene to a couple of his offspring and this plays very well into my plans of improving modern grey given his elite characteristics.
Satin, her dam, is one of my most reliable producers for elite fleece and she definitely contributed with this girl.
Two outstanding parents on this female.
She took reserve Champion in all dark females at National Western Stock Show 2019
Her frame is compact and sturdy and she has a very typey head and an amazingly mild temperament. You can just love on this girl.
She will be bred this summer to a modern grey; details to come.
I have no doubts that the outcome will be a well expressed blue roan with awesome fleece.
And.... I was RIGHT! Storm was bred to Cupid and had a gorgeous blue roan female who is rolling in staple length and fineness. We named her Medicine Woman and she is adorable and beautiful.
This girl will be showing up at GWAS in 2022.
Storm was bred back to Shaman for 2022. Given her performance with Cupid, I just dont know what to say... Be on the LOOKOUT.
Storm had a REALL really beautiful Bay black but greying male with eye catching brightness in his fleece. I mean his fleece! Very proud of them both.

Storm's year one fleece sample results:
AFD 18.4 micron
SD 3.2 microns
CV 17.3%
Fibers > 30 - 0.6%
